The waiter fake coughed to break Craig’s thoughts off. Then, he looked at the money on the table, glanced over his shoulder and said, “Three fifty.â?
He seemed extremely smug when Craig stood up with his two dollars. Craig did stop to throw his small change at the idiotic waiter and then left behind the girl he loved.
He sat in his blue, beat-up, pick-up truck until he saw Olivia and Ashton head back to school. He lagged behind, pissed off about the waiter. That was his only chance and he screwed it up.
