Ficlets

The Creation: Part 2

Loudly, the Voice bellowed, “Let there be computers!”
And so it was.
On desks all over creation sprang up odd box-things, all connected to the Net.
The Voice pronounced them good.
Evening came, morning followed: the fourth day.

Then the Voice commanded, “Let mortals know of my creation!”
And so it was. People flocked the Net, viewing information, conversing with others, and watching things.
The Voice prononced it good.
Evening came, morning followed: the fifth day.

By this time, even the Voice was exhausted. “Let there be breaks!”
And so it was.
People would stop their work to take part in enjoyable activities.
The Voice, from His heavenly beach chair, pronounced it good.
Evening came, morning followed: the sixth day.

But then the Voice noticed that some of the people were missing something. Somthing vital to their well-being and happiness.
Racking His Great Brain, He thought of something. “Let there be ficlets!”
And so it was.
The Voice pronounced it very good.
