Elfish dreams part: 5
“WHAT???” His face became white and then he closed his eyes and began muttering something that sounded like. “No way, no way, they can’t find the island now… No, no, no…”
I became extremely frightened. I had never seen Ellhan lose control like this before.
“Um, Ellhan? What IS it?”
He opened his eyes slowly and gazed at me with such intensity that I almost cringed.
“Elly, you MUST do as I say NOW . This is urgent. People-” he almost spat the word, ” are coming on a thing called a ship. It’s like an invasion and they’ll ruin the island.”
I felt horror stick up my throat. Invasion?
“Why?” Was the first question that came out.
He shook his head. “Questions later. They will be here very soon. We musn’t be seen, but we must make sure they leave.”
“What do I do then?”
He sighed. “Keep out of sight, and spy on them. We need to see what they do and then find a way to push them out. I’ll do my own researching.”
I nodded.
“I’ll go back to the treetop and see where they are.”
