I sighed as I fumbled with the lock on my door. It stuck with the sweltering heat of the day. My sweater was flung over my shoulder, the mail jumbled in my arms. Finally I got it. I swiftly flew in, enjoying the air conditioning.
“MOM! I’m home!” The house stayed completely silent. I slapped the mail on the counter and hung my sweater over the dining room table. A note was left.

Hey Honey,
I went to get some drinks with Flynn. Be back later

I rolled my eyes, my mother had gotten a knew boyfriend. They went out every night till 10:00. I opened the fridge and grabbed an apple from the bottom drawer. I sat down on the couch and took a deep sigh. I felt so alone in the two story house. I wanted some one with me. I thought of Ben almost imediately. I had wondered about him for the past three days. But now I knew I really wanted to see him. I took a bite of apple and spoke the words in my head.
Ben! I want you. Please come!
