My Last Words

Can they prove that I was there? No, they can’t. Did they try? Of course they did. Did they succeed? Yes they did. Why? Because there was a girl dead, and someone needed to go down for it.

As I sat in the chair they asked for my last words. I had only a few. “Remember, all who have to make a decision to end someone’s life, remember that guilt and innocence may seem black and white to you, but in reality, the shades of gray that surround each decision are infinite. Infinite shades of gray ladies and gentlemen of the jury, infinite shades of gray.â€?
