The Day in the Life of Me: Deserve Better
”
Sure,” I told him and off we went.
We walked a couple of steps in silence. Thoughts of Tim flooded my head again. I hate it when you try to get someone out of your head but you end up thinking about that someone. James snapped me back.
“Well Lily. I know it’s none of my business, but I know your crying about something.”
It was then that I noticed that once again I was crying. I don’t usually cry, so it kind of embarrassed me.
“Well… This guy… he…,” I got angry at myself once again for stuttering.
“You don’t have to say anymore. Who ever he is, you deserve better.”
“Thanks.”
I was surprised that a guy I just met was trying to help make me feel better. I wiped my eyes again and changed the subject.
“So uh, where is first class at?”
“Physics with Stansky,” he said. I couldn’t have picked a better day to run into someone.
“That is my first class.”
“Really? Sweet.”
I smiled a bit.
