September 11th, 2001
I vaguely remember the day. The day the whole world seemed to have frozen. The day two planes crashed into the twin towers. At the time I was young, and didn’t understand all the commotion. I didn’t understand why Mommy and Daddy were crying. And I didn’t understand why Sesame Street was canceled and my little brother and I were forced to watch a disaster scene.
I didn’t know just how much pain this terrible incident would cause. I didn’t know just how many people lost someone they loved. But now learning that I was just so close to losing someone I loved made me realize how much some people lost that very day. And how much everyone should love and cherish every single moment a loved one is by your side.
September 11th, 2001. Ah, that very day. How sad it is to think of the people who lost their lives. Some at the wrong place at the wrong time. Others, truly risking their lives to save them.
That day will never be forgotten. And will always be remembered as September 11th, 2001.
