Last Night Together
I cried again when we got back to school and we were all saying goodbye. There were alot of “I can’t wait to see you!” and “See you next year!” going on. Each time someone said this to me, it brought on a fresh wave of tears… because they wouldn’t see me next year.
Finally, the busses came and everyone left. I got home and jumped in the shower. My face was wet with tears and I was still cold from the ice rink. The shower helped calm me down. Mom was home with my brother by the time I got out.
“How was your day, Sweetie?” She asked. I gaveher a death glare and she didn’t push it.
I went back up to my room and laid on my bed. I pulled out the current book I was reading and got lost in it. Before I knew it there was the sounds of a stampeed on my stairs.
“We’re here!” They yelled. I laughed as I saw Sadie and Sophie standing in my doorway with sleeping bags and pillows in their arms.
“Finally!” I mange. We all move to the basement and dive into the snacks mom has left there for us.
