Residing Dreams (Chapter 78)
My jaw dropped as I finished reading the letter. I don’t know what I was so surprised about, as it didn’t really contain anything I had not known previously. But I was still left with even more questions than before. Upon first impressions, I commented, “Well, uh, he seems kind of formal, I guess. I mean, considering that you and him are supposadly such good friends, he seems almost like that boring Mr. Brown did. And neither of us had ever even met him before.” “Well, Arthur has always had a formal way about him. He’s quite intellectual too. Underneath that, though, he is a big softie, I pressume. But he’s been quite depressed after his wife died, you know? Things have been pretty rough for him.” “Oh,” I replied, mesmerized. “That must be hard.” We sat in silence for a moment. Then, a question crossed my mind. It wasn’t that I lacked a factual answer more than that I just wanted to hear what my father would say in response to it. I decided to ask anyways.
