Awakening
“You know she isn’t going to believe us. How could you forget how stubborn she is?” A feminine voice asked, but it was coursing with a strength that was unknown to this age.
“I know, but someone has to tell her. She’s going to remember sooner or later, but I am sure it would be more beneficial the sooner it happens,” replied a smooth male voice, with a deep undertone, hinting at something just out of her reach.
By this time, Cayaana was tired of being talked about as if she was incapable of making her own choices, and decided to reveal that she was no longer asleep.”Let me assure you, I am neither dead nor deaf.”she said in a voice that sounded foreign even to her, startling herself and her visitors. She cleared her throat, and spoke again to the gaping strangers, “As to what you were discussing, I can decide for myself, and I would like to know what I am apparently lacking in memory,” this time her voice returned closer to normal, and she supposed she’d have to settle for ‘closer to’.
