She waited as patiently as she could, but as she felt her patience begin to run thin, one of them noticed the impatient twitching of her slender, delicate hands.

“Well, uhm, Cayaana..” He trailed off to clear his throat in a nervous manner, that made it hard for both women to manage their laughter. Cayaana had a reputation for being intimidating, especially to men, and the elder had forgotten to warn him.

He glared as the woman finished, “We will get to that, Cayaana, but for now, introductions will have to do.”

Cayaana could hear the smirk she knew was the reason for the man’s agitated shift in weight to his left side. Which was probably the furthest from the powerful woman. Unable to contain her laughter any longer, Cayaana allowed a soft laugh to escape.

“What’s so funny?” the man asked, the confusion showing through, even at his attempt to hide it.

Subduing her laughter, she ignored his question, and instead addressed the elder. “So continue with the ‘introductions’.
