He had been badly injured, fatal for even the strongest of Fae. Ariana, scared of losing him again, drew on her birth-right, the power to command nature to do amazing things with it, and her knowledge of fairy magick. She used this to heal Phoenix, but it took a great toll on her own body. She succeeded, but the effort had taken far to much from her. Exhausted and barely breathing, she fell into her lover’s arms. Not wanting to move she let herself become one with nature once again, happy to do so in his arms.

Phoenix, not wanting to ever let go of her, held her close to him in his own arms. Never once did he leave that spot of magick in the forest, not even for food or water. Phoenix eventually, like his lover Ariana, happily became one with nature once again to join his love, the fairy princess.
