Great job with the feel and tone of this one. It all fits nicely and works in a sort of Twilight Zone way, one of the ones that was less scare factor and more ‘Hmmm.’

Oh, and you missed a word in the 4th paragraph—’head’ maybe.

For some reason, I couldn’t resist doing a sequel.

Fantastic story! Nobody sets a scene better than you do, Jen. From the first line I had chills. Ghost stories involving Confederate soldiers have always interested me – off to research the link!
