Rambunctious Boy [Theme Song Challenge]
“My, oh my, I’m a restless guy. I’ve got a home everywhere I go.“
Mom knocked and entered without really waiting for an answer, like she usually did, “Boys, it’s time for another adventure!” Her tone was cheery, but we knew this was code. We were moving again.
“ain’t good lookin, and I ain’t so smart, but baby I’m a sensitive guy.“
We both chimed in, “Where to?”
Her expression told it all, that she was really trying to sell it, “Mississippi!”
Kevin groaned, and I followed suit. There’s something to be said for a united front.
“I ain’t done everything there is to do, but I’ll damn sure give it a try.“
“Come on,” mom said, “It won’t be that bad. Think of all the stuff you can do.”
“But mom,” Kevin griped, “we’re half way through the school year.”
But I was thinking, “The woods. The wildlife. No more yuppies.”
“I’m a rambunctious boy, rambunctious boy…“
“Yeah,” I thought, “I think this might just turn out alright.”
“...I’m a trouble on the run, I’m a heartbreakin son of a gun…“
