Still Life at University

Messages on the sidewalk:

She lives in a dorm where some smartass has written on the door “Abandon all hope ye who enter in here,” and she recognizes that they got the quote slightly wrong. This does not help her win friends.

Peter Pan or Wendy. She figures, if the alarm clock makes her feel like Captain Hook, she must be jealous of Peter Pan.

The alarm clock beeps and beeps and beeps louder and she gets up and gets down from her bunkbed and doesn’t wake her roommate. Her roommate is not a princess. Her roommate can sleep through anything.
