poignant scene, very well written

very nicely done! I don’t even know the song, so I’m completely commenting on the story. It was nice she did that, came to his funeral and placed the rose, but sad she knew about him loving her for so long and didn’t love him back. It makes me wonder what the relationship was. :)

Great scene setup, I can picture it perfectly. This song always jerks a knot in my throat, and I’m not a big Jones fan- or country for that matter, but there’s something about this one that a person can’t help but hang on to every lyric. And then tear up. Great job!
