Residing Dreams (Chapter 206)

The next day, I wanted to see Casimir first thing. However, the staff members would not allow me to see him right away. “He is very tired and he isn’t feeling well,” Ms. Ledezma said. If there was one thing I hated, it was when adults spoke to me as if I were nothing but a giddy child who wasn’t prepared to hear the truth. Who wasn’t ready to face reality. But last night, I had seen more than enough. “If he wants me to stop by later, then can I? Please? I’m not rowdy; I keep him calm and mellow. But most importantly, I make him happy. And he makes me happy. We are friends, and friends support each other when in need. Quite frankly, Casimir says that I’ve done more for him than any of you ever could. It would be cruel to take that away from him, considering that he doesn’t have much to begin with,” I stated firmly. Ms. Ledezma held her head in her hand. “We’ll see. Mind you, he is very ill. Very, very sick. You have to understand that,” she replied.
