Drip Drop
Drip Drop
Like tears they fall from the sky. The angry grey clouds obscured the sun, making it omniously dark. The flat leaves of a dark oak tree let the water pool on its surface.
“Why does love hurt so much?” I ask the sky. It answers with a deep growl of thunder. I lumber further into the forest. My heart beating evenly in my chest. When I came to a stop by a thick barked juniper tree. The bluish grey leaves clumped with rain, mist settled on the blue berries.
“Rashsa-me lask” I call. Suddenly my arms tingle, my head spins. Great black feathers molt my arms, my bright blue eyes turn gold and my head and neck curve. When the shift is complete I ruffle my feathers against the rain and fly up to the dull grey sky.
