All Smiles
I went downstairs with a smile on my face.
“Morning!” I chriped as I saw Mom at the kitchen table.
“You’re happy?” She responded.
I shrugged and plopped down in the chair next to hers. I took my hair tie from my wrist and pulled back my wild hair.
“You all packed?” She asked, standing up to put her brreakfast dish in the sink.
“Yep.” I smiled. I stood up and went to the counter, next to Mom. She shoot me a look as I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast, but didn’t say anything.
My dad walked in then. “Ready for tonight?”
“Yeah.” I answered, returning to my kitchen chair.
“Aunt Cheri will be at the airport waiting to drive you to her house. I just talked with her.” He said.
I nodded, and finished my cookie. I couldn’t believe I was going to get to stay with Aunt Cheri! That in itself was amazing, because she was such a laid back, crazy person. But on top of that, I would only be 20 minutes from Tyler’s house. I couldn’t stop smiling and my parents laughed at me for it.
