Fun!

Power, ripe and harsh, slid through my muscles to propel my hooves forward. Seeing the huge oxer just feet from my muzzle, I shied, causing another horse to freak out. I heard a slight thump, knowing one woman had fallen from the other stallion, and the woman had fallen off me. One whimpered and rolled over; my rider. The other rolled to her feet, stepping up smoothly to grasp the other’s, whose name I would later learn to be Hunter, reins. She handed him off to another girl to hold him still as she re-mounted. Swinging herself up into the saddle, she first noticed me, galloping along, out of control, toward the road. I was grinning, and, calling, ‘Hey, kid, catch me if you can!’ And I took off. FriesanxThoroughbred blood bolted through my veins as I cleared the several feet high fence, which was surrounding the outdoor ring. The road was a few yards from here, and I could hear the sound of the gate being opened behind me, then the pursuing hooves. I didn’t care. I’d run. I would not stop. Right…. Or not?
