Fun's Not Over

I clattered across the road, clearing the high fence on that side, and began to gallop wildly though the forest area.
Over and over, I try this. Over and over, I get caught. How this sucks, I just want to go out west, so I can live in peace. Already I hear shouts of, “Loose horse!” from the barn. With a sigh I lengthen my stride and stretch out my neck. I yawned, then realized there was a fence coming up. Must be near the highway.. Intently I slowed down to gain more power, bunched my muscles and sprang like a cat uncoiled to chase the mouse.
I cleared the tough wooden fence, bolting into the path of a big tractor-trailer. I skittered to a stop to play chicken with the huge truck, and the driver didn’t see me. I am a big black horse, ya’know. However, he saw the flashes of silver from the trappings they put on me, and he slammed on the brakes. As he did so, I heard a scream. Turning my head, almost bored with this game, I saw the woman, and Hunter, standing together, staring at me and at the huge truck…
