All Just a Dream by Day
He comes towards my locker just as he does everyday. The butterflies fill my stomach and my heart races as he nears.
“Hey,” he says and smiles.
“Hi!” I say a little over excited. I take a deep breath and focus on grabbing my books for the next class. That is the only thing that keeps me from getting lost in him.
“Tess?” He says my name so perfectly. I turn my head and stare at him.
“Yes?”
“Will you go out with me this Friday?” My heart skips a beat and it feels like it going to go out of my chest. I feel like I am going to faint. My face turns hot red.
“Sure, I would like that,” I say with a smile and an out of breath voice. He grins like the happiest guy a live. That smile could move mountains. He moves in closer and takes my hand.
“Hello!” I jerk back to see him staring at me, “You ok Tess?”
“Ya,” I am fine. I finish getting my books and we talk until I need to get to class, but those words, the ones I want him say, are not spoken. It was all just a daydream.
