He can see literally, but he can’t metaphorically/literally see. He can’t see his captors, he can’t see their reasoning for his capture (that the reader is aware of), we’re still in the dark about his wife… brilliantly written, I’m completely interested in where this is going to go.

Somehow this window doesn’t sound good. And so many questions unanswered about his wife.
