I’m guessing some sort of childhood trauma here. Someone was forced to watch too many episodes of Barney and Friends maybe? That’d drive me to this level of insanity, I’m sure.

JP: No, there is no childhood trauma embedded within here.<br />n555: Be happy I didn’t use my initial idea, which involved a type of torture a teacher described in vivid detail that ended in a slow, painful death by staph infection. This is a stem of that idea. But, it’s venting like this that keeps a person lik me amiable and relatively sane.

@g2, I wasn’t suggesting you had childhood trauma, but that the main character did. Killing people is one thing, but when a person tortures their victims first, it’s almost always a result of abuse. There’s a deep psychosis in wanting to watch a person suffer.
