What a perfect way to describe half of a couple. Never thought of it that way. This is my “Hmph” moment of the day. (I don’t get many of those on Saturdays.) I imagine that next time I see one half of a long term couple who have split I’ll have what they see as concern and empathy pasted on my face, when it will actually be reflections on this here Ficlet. Oh well… noone else has to know. ;D Wonderful job!!

I did like the metaphoric use of an amputation. The appearances of a an amputated relationship :p great job
