Actually, you “couldn’t” care less. If you say that you “could” care less, then you’re saying that you do care – not that you don’t care. Which is not the correct usage for that particular idiom.

And regarding your actual post…scolding people for lamenting the loss of ficlets is silly. Writing about how much an author will miss ficlets is still writing. And while these posts may not be a fictional snippets, not all ficlets are anyway.

There is an old saying that Misery Loves Company. I’ve come to believe that, because for me personally I feel comfort being among the kindred spirits bemoaning the loss of Ficlets.

I agree though. We should try to at least go out with a bang if you know what I mean. So write write write!!

PEOPLE CAN WRITE WHATEVER THEY WANT ON FICLETS … IF THEY WANT TO WRITE ABOUT IT LEAVING THEN THAT ’S THEIR CHOICE . IF THEY CHOOSE TO “WHINE” THEN THAT IS THEIR CHOICE . FRANKLY , THEIR WRITING CAREER (OTHER THAN SHIPPING SOMETHING OFF TO A PUBLISHER , OR WRITING FOR THE FUN OF IT ALONE …) IS OVER. THERE ARE NO OTHER GOOD WRITING SITES WHERE YOU CAN COMMENT ON OTHER PEOPLE ’S STORIES AND THEY CAN COMMENT ON YOURS . THERE IS NO OTHER SITE LIKE THIS ONE …. that I know of…
