Redemption

The children were thrown at the feet of an unearthly creature. That is, if you could call his putrescent, willowy appendage feet. He rose, and his head grazed the ceiling. Purple smoke flowed from where his nostrils might have been.
“You sniveling children.” He spoke with surprising eloquency. “You have stolen from my most sacred garden, spoiling years of produce!” He yelled.
“Please, sir.” Judith began meekly. “Do not punish Lucas. He tried to stop me. Let him go.”
“Let him go?” He repeated incredulously. “The Galwangter, dear Ramsbuckle.” A small serpentine creature returned with what likened a corkscrew. Judith and Lucas’ eyes widened.
“Oh, don’t be so daft!” He reprimanded them. “It is time for my afternoon Dandelion Wine.” The creature whispered in his lowered ear. “Really?” He asked it smugly. “You are free to leave if you wish.”

Judith and Lucas towards me.
“There you are!” I cried, then proceeded in giving them a firm talking to.
“Where’s Lissom?” asked Judith. I pretended not to hear her.
