I’m with you. I even feel a little sick inside when I use that IMspeak garbage in instant messages! Definitely not much lamer than using these abbreviations in real life.

Yeah, it gets annoying when people say “Jk” aloud. It’s just as easy to say “just kidding,” or “joking!” Chat speak…bleh.

The only reason to use those abbreviations in IMs is because it allows the conversation to go faster, but in spoken language, it just slows things down.
