I Wanna Get Lost In The Rock and Roll
I always like watching my brother and his band preform. I even liked the sound of the fans screaming, though I always ended up with a headache.
Now that it was my turn to take the stage, I wasn’t looking forward to it.
“C’mon, Rilee, smile,” My desperate bandmate tried to lift my mouth into a smile.
My brow furrowed.
“Give it up, Trent, she’s not a happy rockstar.” My brother advised him, shaking his head.
“This is my first time playing with you guys,” I grumbled. “What if they hate me?”
“They won’t!” Trent yelped. “You’re a better bass player than Jacob ever was… Or will be, for that matter.”
I frowned.
“Okay, Trent, go away,” my brother said.
“Thank you!” I whispered to him as Trent walked away.
“What’s your problem?” He asked, leaning against the wall.
“I don’t know,” I growled. “If I did, I would be happy right now.”
“Such a good mood,” He said.
“Rilee, we’re on!” Trent cried.
“Get. Out. There. Rilee.”
With one last glare, I scrambled onto the stage.
