You Did It, Didn't You?
“You really don’t wanna do this, do ya?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“You implied it.”
“Oh yeah? Well then. . .what does implied mean?”
“Oh, nevermind. Just do it.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No!”
“Fine. But when I do it, you’ll be wishing you had done it.”
“I bet I won’t.”
“How much?”
“Five bucks.”
“Deal.”
“Deal.”
“So here I go. You sure you don’t wanna do it?”
“Positive. Besides, if I do do it, I won’t get my money.”
“Touche. Ok then, here goes.”
“See ya.”
“On the other side.”
“Ha.”
“There. I did it.”
“Yes you did.”
“Pay up.”
“I still don’t wish I would’ve done it.”
”. . . .”
“The smartest thing you’ve said all day.”
And with that, he walked away.
“Don’t leave me here!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll come back for my money later. . .sometime.”
