It was a Dark and Stormy Cliche

It was a dark and stormy night. The brave knight had returned from his victorious encounter with a Dragon. On the road he saw a carriage, horseless and broken on the side of the road. He drew his sword and went to investigate. “Exuse me, is anyone there?” he boomed in his brave, manly, heroic voice.
“Oh yes! please help me!” cried the poor lady, still sitting on the bench. “I am a princess on my way to meet the prince of our neighboring kingdom, Antelle. The driver was turned into a pigeon by the Witch of the Enchanted Forest, and the horses ran off! I wanted to get help, but I didn’t know which way to go and I would have gotten wet! Please help me!”
“Ah, yes,” replied the hero bravely. “Well, it just so happens that I am the prince of Antelle! Please, join me. I’m on my way to the castle anyway.”
So the princess donned her magical waterproof cloak and hopped on his horse. She was still dry at the castle, where the hero fell in love with her. They were married and lived happily ever after. The end.
