Cecilia's Letter
June the 26th, 1905
My Dearest Monty,
How are you? I must say I’ve been dreadfully lonely without you here, but I must wish you well on your journey to find the strange Tribe of the Zambezi! Oh, it does sound so terribly exciting when phrased in a manner such as that. But I shall remain here, reading in the parlour, while you search for them on your dinghy (dreadfully sorry, I mean ship!). My sweetest love to you, dearest, and the hope for a safe journey. Come back to me soon!
Love,
Cecilia
P.S. I shall not actually mail this to you as I have absolutely no clue where you are or how the postage system works. I assume I’ll just drop it in our mail slot for you to find. Tally ho!
