I really enjoyed it. It flowed so well, was sad but managed to be amazingly beautiful as well. I don’t know if it would be so great without the picture, but with it…it’s a masterpiece. Good job.

Wow this is masterful writing. I’ve read a lot of your ficlets, but I think this is one of the most thoughtful, moving ones yet. You had me going like a little school girl for a while.
You did forget one thing (or just didn’t know about it). It’s actually her sisters who give her the dagger. They make a deal with the sea witch. They cut off their hair (where a mermaid’s magic is) in exchange for the dagger to kill the prince and return to the sea.
