Across Space and Time, Part 2

Dr. Brillstine’s second assitant, Jason, saw the letter and easily deciphered it’s meaning.

“Looks like we’re out of a job.” He said, while stuffing as many hard drives as possible into his knap sack. “I don’t think the Doc will be needing these any more.” he said, while grabbing one of the open lap tops.

As Jason walked by him, Bartleby grabbed his collar and lifted him off the ground.

“Get your grubby little hands off the equiptment.” He said, tossing Jason to the floor like a used towel. Shocked, Bartleby looked down at Jason’s terrified face. He faced away from him and said “if you’re going to abandon the Doctor, you can take the unused electronics from the stockroom, but leave anything used here.”

“You can’t be thinking of staying here.” Jason said. “You saw that note, Bart. The Doctor’s gone.”
