What a great opener – I don’t know that I’ve ever read a ‘first sentence’ that made me want to read more. I think it’s especially challenging to be tied to the hood of a car and asked to help find a watch. Kinda like a cop asking a drunk driver to recite the alphabet backwards! The guy was screwed from the get-go. Excellent work!
