Day at the Lake, Partie Deux

... Leaning her body farther and farther away from the lake side, twisting her torso as to face the object of her outburst, Keira shoot bullets in the form of words. “I am well justified in my reaction. You cheated on me,” Keira halted to breath several deep and strenuous breaths, “Cheated on me with Margaret Grint!” Feigning utter disgust, Keira turned back toward the lake, which was now even more upset than when she first turned. Tears soon began to silently make their way down her smooth cheek, journeying past her lips, and finally dropping, one by one, on to her hands folded in her lap.

Seemingly speechless, although this was quite for the better, Guiliano turned on his heel and stormed off. This was exactly the quality Keira hated most about him; he seemed to avoid conflict when it mattered most to eliminate the problem.

With him gone, Keira’s thoughts wandered back out over the lake, and eventually settled on the cold, hard fact that she was betrayed…
