This is beautiful prose. I’m going to have to say this is one of my favorite pieces of yours. I’ve been there myself, in fact, it was a mood like this that got me started writing to express myself in the beginning.
Thanks. Somehow it seems that I tend get decent writing out of a melancholy sort of mood. Although I’ve found that writing it out doesn’t make it go away, but it helps me understand it. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Beautifully captures a piece of what it is to be a sentient and transcendent human on the planet, missing someone we’ve never met. Sure to be anthologized and revered. Very well done.
I almost feel as though I could write you out in a song, and sing it softly to myself when I get lonely here without you. is a wonderfully descriptive sentence.
with nothing but negative space. was a perfect ending.
Your work is so beautiful, rarely have I felt so jealous. When I am almost creative, I’m suffering from writer’s block and probably lazin around my house complaining that I am so bored and have nothing to do. LOL . You paint such a great picture in this piece, in my mind I see an island at night with the moon shining down and the water rippling gently, that’s just great and I love it. :)))
you are not just a writer you are a creator. there’s a difference, trust me. you create a scene, a writer writes about it. but you have stamped a picture in my mind. this is truly extraordinary!
I’m here to add one more: beautiful work. You literally paint pictures with your words – as I read this I could see the scene play out in my mind’s eye.
