To make a few things clear:
If you choose to participate, you may do both challenges, or only one.
The same voting system as the other challenge remains. (Just make sure I get enough this time!) Also, depending on which challenge you do, label your ficlet with First: for the “first ficlet” challenge, and Genre: for the “genre ficlet” challenge. Remember, you can do either one challenge or both, as long as you label accordingly! This means that there will be two types of votes, as well.

Well, anyway…this is kind of funny because I had an urge a couple days ago to sequel my first ficlet…

I already sequeled my first ficlet…It was about a silo.
I don’t know what genre I haven’t done though…If someone would be okay with going through all my ficlets, would they tell me?

Yeah, well, i’ve only known of this site for under a year, so i guess it’s uhkay.
anyway, I do believe this shall be interesting – my first ficlet was a list of my top songs at that moment.

Should be a fun challenge, since my first Ficlet was such a random little snippet. I’ll have to put in the tag, since I don’t know how to sequel it and have it as a sequel to your challenge.

How long have you been doing this? I’ve been doing this for about three months and I’ve only done 34. You are insane! I’m glad you do it, though, because talent like yours needs to be practiced. I might be trying to do the second challenge, but I can’t think of what genre to do.

I’ve just checked and seen that your first story was only one month old! I am officially impressed.

This challenge is well suited to someone brand new like me whose first ficlet was his or her best work. The problem of actually writing a fitting sequel is still a big one…Bummer.

oh, and an idea could also be to just tag it now, and then also write the same ficlet, except make it as a sequel to your first ficlet. That could give someone personal glorification if they feel they wrote a good sequel.

batak beatrix, you think you feel inadequate? i’ve been here for more than a month and haven’t even broken 30! i’m close though! (i have 18 drafts but they all pretty much suck!) anyway, it’s too embarassing for me to do a sequel to my 1st and i don’t really think there is a genre i haven’t tried (tell me if i’m wrong)!

When does this end?

Well, it’s been going on for a while, now, hasn’t it? How about…October 1st. It’s over October 1st. By the way, I’ve only gotten…well, one vote I think. Voting doesn’t seem to work really well on ficlets, but it would be much appreciated if you did.

I took on the challenge just for fun – I think I signed up on ficlets too late to enter my story in the running. But it was an interesting experiment to write in a genre I normally don’t approach.
