Behind the Scenes of a Soap Opera

Charlie: Oh, Rhonda, your gaze melts my heart.

[Rhonda looks at him with a kind of lust in her eye, the firelight twinkling in it.]

Rhonda: As does yours, Charlie. Too bad I’ll never see it again.

[Charlie’s brows furrow.]

Charlie: What do you mean, sweetheart?

Rhonda: I’m sorry, sweetie, but it was I that killed your other girlfriend. Now you know too much, and you’ve cheated on too many people. I must kill you. [Pulls out a gun.]

Charlie: Oh, I love it when you talk evil. Let us enjoy our last hours before you kill me.

Rhonda: As you wish, sweetheart. You are my guilty pleasure…

[They draw nearer and, framed by the firelight, start a passionate kiss. They—

“Ew! I’m not doing this trash! Who wrote this idiotic garbage?”

The director pleaded. “But, Lily, your perfect for the part! We got our best screenwriter to typecast it just for you!”

“Ugh! That’s an insult!” With that, the actress stormed off the set.
