A google search for “country hits 1963” came up with Owens’ “Act Naturally” as one of the few (I regret to say) songs I was familiar with (Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” was the other standout).
Anyone who wants to chip in at this point should feel free to. I hope anyone who doesn’t already know who “Lancer” was (and the two players in the corner) can figure it out from context. :)
