Macy 44: Friday Night Dances

Friday night dances. Friday means do whatever because most parents consider Friday “date night” for them. But Friday mostly means crazy.

Derrick moved Macy from his lap in one swift movement. The teachers were looking. “That’s hardly fair.” Macy said over the loud music in the crowded dance room. “We should at least get one night.” But Holly walked up then and Derrick never replied.

Holly gushed, “Aww it’s lovey dovey over here.”

Derrick tried not to roll his eyes as he said, “Holly if you could excuse us.” Very polite. Then they escaped into the hall.

“Thanks I did not want to deal with her.” Macy whispered, but Derrick was staring at something. “What?”

“Nothing.” he mumbled, pulling her toward the closest alcove.

Macy pushed herself against him, her lips finding his. His hand trailed down her cheek then shoulder, then leg. But she stopped his hand at the edge of her short dress. “Don’t.”

Either Derrick was drunk or serious. He slurred between kisses, “I love you. Want you.”
