Leadership Conference Group (out-of-order challenge)

I left my dorm with my small overnight bag packed and my laptop zipped into its satchel.

This leadership conference was going to be cake! I’d get extra credit in English for writing about it, credit in Business for going, and experience to put on my resume!

I found Brit in the parking lot. James and Professor Streeter were already standing beside a Silver Lexus.

“Hey Leslie! Thought you’d never get here!” Brit quipped.

She drove. I sat in the back beside James allowing Mr. Streeter the courtesy of the front seat. Brit’s dad let her borrow the big car for this, to both impress the Prof. and to allow Brit to look better than James and I. I didn’t care. I was just happy to get out of the state! I never traveled as a kid. I only came to State college because I got a scholarship.

We turned up the ramp to I-19 and Brit sped up to easily merge into traffic. James kept bringing up boring topics, like freshwater fish, Amish, and sweet potatoes. He was spoiling my trip!

I was determined to have fun!
