Wonderball makes new Friends

“Sol-leks.”
The voice was calm but ringing with it’s athourity. Suddenly the man stoped, not as though he froze but he merely wanted to concentrate on the woman’s words.
“Yes Sandra?” His voice was seemingly calm and if Emily had been paying attention, she would have heard the slight longing in it.
Dana was, in fact,paying attention.
“Is she really who you want to settle as? Wouldn’t you want some one… in the light of more influence?”
“Hmm… Yes, I suppose you’re right…”
“Of course I am. Now, If we want to find the others, we need someone more…influental.”
“Of course.” his eyes were suddenly sharp with excitement of finding these “others”.
“But what do we do with her?” Sol-leks glanced at Emily with resentment, as though she were a rat or a bug.
Sandra sighed with what looked like regret in her eyes.
“I tried to warn her. Dispose of her.”
Dana looked on helplessly as Sol-leks stuffed her bestfriend into the small wonderball.
He threw the toy onto Dana’s bed and walked out with Sandra.

It’s quite an abrupt development, but bravo for taking such a bold step. Still leaves open so many possibilities, so… in the words of Ana Cristina, you’ve got sequel.

I like that it’s back and forth, as if Sandra might actually be helpful, and then she’s really, really not. In fact, possibly more evil than Sol-leks.
