A Conversation With Uncle Louie
Wendall:
Finally, with my cunning skills, I manage to convince Plunger Boy that we need to go see Uncle Louie. He leads us backstage, points at Uncle Louie, and says, “Dude. There’s some weirdos here to see you.”
“He’s calling us weird?” Maya asks incredulously, looking at Plunger Boy’s plunger.
Uncle Louie strides over. “What can I help you young folks with?”
Suddenly, all of my wits escape me, and I say, “Um, uh, you see..”
Maya interrupts. “We need some information about the wallaby belonging to Mrs. Widmeyer.”
Uncle Louie begins to laugh. “Oh, you mean that old thing?”
“Yeah,” I reply.
“Well,” he chortles, “that wallaby is safe and sound at her house!”
“What?” We look at each other in confusion.
“Go have a look,” Uncle Louie says. “Go on!”
I think he really just wants to get rid of us. “Come on, guys, lets go,” says Maya.
“Wait!” Whines Perry. “I gotta get my autograph!”
