The role of Robert Blake, monster hunter and noir detective, easily goes to Bruce Willis (Die Hard, Sin City). Exact physical look, spot on deadpan face and delivery method… oh yes.

And there are no more real recurring characters in the Blake universe, but there typically is a femme fatale and she would be played by: Catherine Zeta Jones. She oozes sex with every movement, thus a perfect femme fatale.

In a bold move, I’ll also announce the writing & directing team: the kind folks who brought us the film Ginger Snaps (2000), John Fawcett (he who also did The Dark) directing with a screenplay by Karen Walton.

But the real coup will be the producers: The Coen Brothers (Blood Simple, Miller’s Crossing, Fargo). They’d keep the project in-line and ensure that the end result was strong.

Graeme Revell will produce the score while Quentin Tarantino will be in charge of the soundtrack, because he knows good music.
