Giving and Getting [Kermitgorf's Holiday Challenge]

“I said I don’t want nothing.”

“Oh come on, baby, you know you don’t mean that.”

“I already have everything I want, I swear.”

“What about a new bracelet? I noticed you looking at that silver one last night in the mall.”

“It was gold. 16 karat gold.”

“Yeah, well, whatever. At least I noticed.”

“Besides, Christmas should be about giving, not getting.”

“Oh yeah? Well, what are you getting me, baby?”

“Ew, stop leering at me like that. It’s positively distasteful.”

“Oh. Sorry.”

“It’s OK, Pooky.”

“So, you gonna tell me what you want or what?”

“Oh, all right. But just because you’re asking, not because I want anything. Because I don’t.”

“Right, I got that already.”

“So there was this bracelet I had my eye on…”

“The silver one.”

“I already told you once that it’s gold. G-O-L-D-E. I hate it when you don’t listen to me. It makes me feel like you don’t love me.”

“Please don’t cry, baby. You know I hate that.”

“Oh! I almost forgot. The bracelet also has a matching necklace.”

“For you, anything.”
