I Really Wish It Hadn't.

I watched as he did trick upon trick while gliding down the hill. I knew I’d have to make an excuse as to why I’m not doing any.

Actually, the only reason I haven’t is in fear that I’d make a fool of myself.

I watched him as he watched me on my way down. With anybody else, this would be awkward but this wasn’t in the slightest.

“You beat me!” I stuck my tongue out at him.

“Yeah I did!” he gloated as I came to a stop.

“Maybe you could teach me those tricks you did sometime?”

“Sure.” his face lit up.

“Thanks.” I hugged him, resting my head against his chest.

I looked up at him, he looked down at me, and he kissed me. The commotion of the streets and the coldness of the weather fell behind, all of my thoughts directed toward him.

The temperature seemed to raise from 13 degrees to 83 degrees. How long we were there I don’t know, nor do I care. When we finally pulled away, the winds from the trees and the noise from the streets came back.

But I really wish it hadn’t.
