Getting Out
As Abbie and Alexia grew closer to the hole the monster began catching up to them.
“We’re almost there, Abbie. Come on!” Alexia said so frightened that she almost yelled it.
“I’m coming!” Abbie answered with a frightened and tired voice.
Alexia pulled herself out of the hole and then turned around to help Abbie out. She grabbed Abbie’s hand and began pulling her out, but before she could get her completely out, the monster grabbed Abbie’s foot.
“Now I’ve got you.” Snarled the monster.
“Let go of my foot!” Abbie yelled to the monster as she began furiously kicking it in the head.
“Stop kicking me!” The monster snarled in anger.
“NO!” Abbie yelled at the monster as she gave it a look of defiance.
As Abbie fought to get away from the monster and Alexia pulled on Abbie trying to help, the sun began to rise. Before long the sun was completely up in the sky.
The monster growled. “That light! I have to get out of it!”
The monster let go of Abbie and retreated back into the cave.
