This is interesting. It seems like she wasn’t too in to him, like she was waiting for him to break up with her. She seems very happy about it. The guy seems more devastated than her, really. I have to wonder what would cause these two characters to behave that way. Very nicely written.

I agree with Storykeeper. It seems almost as though they are in a miserable relationship, each waiting for the other to break it off. Great ficlet.
