Is the plural form of octopus, octopai? I have a feeling octopuses is incorrect.

Octopuses is the correct plural form, and the least favored octopede is also correct for the plural use of octopus. Just imparting random knowledge about words that real writers will appreciate, and to a more transparent extent—padding my comments oh yeeah.
